RIO: MARCH AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA AND 'GAY CURE' - JUNE 28, 2013

LGBT Pride Day was celebrated with a protest against homophobia and transphobia and an out loud NO to the "gay cure" law bill by Deputy João Campos advanced by Marco Feliciano in the Human Rights Committee of the Congress - his presence in the job being one of the biggest downs in that House.

This March, however, is not the LGBT Pride Parade, which takes place in Copacabana beach every year and gathers hundreds of thousands of people.

This afternoon the City Council of Rio de Janeiro celebrated the First Solemn Session to celebrate the International LGBT Pride Day with authorities and representatives of the civil society. It was a landmark session.
